Polish vocalist, composer and producer. Since 2013 she lives in the UK. Kari has 3 studio albums in her catalogue – “Daddy Says I’m Special” (2011), “Wounds And Bruises” (2013) and “I Am Fine” (2017). She was nominated for Fryderyki Music Awards in Best New Artist category, she was awarded HIRO Magazine Main Prize as well as the prize on the International Songwriter Festival.
The Album „I Am Fine” released in June 2017 was the breakthrough for KARI. Previous comparisons to Bat For Lashes or Lykke Li proved inadequate. The composing style of KARI has evolved – the newest album possesses a modern and fresh sound, but at the same time maintains a strong connection to the 80s. “I Am Fine” puts KARI closer to Grimes, The Knife, MØ and Björk.
KARI performed during the biggest Polish festivals including Open’er and Orange Warsaw Festival. Her single “The One” from her second album, “Wounds And Bruises” was featured on BBC Radio 1 playlist as part of the “BBC Introducing” series. The enthusiastic reception in the UK resulted in KARI’s performance at BBC Radio’s Big Weekend in Glasgow.
Recently, KARI published two singles announcing the new album – “Colourblind” in December 2018 and “Time” in January 2019.
